Of course both exist in every single aspect in life. But compliments (as long as they're not given excessively) are good to boost one's self confidence, and thus a motivator for him/her to serve better. Critics, no matter how negative it sounds, can be very, very good, too if delivered with the right words and attitude. But that's actually the hardest part in that. :P PS: Got the hat in Bali.
